At the launch of Endemol’s Second Life-based Big Brother endeavor, the griefers appeared. Rather than the usual tiresome grid-crashing, this time imaginations were applied. As the contestants made their way down the red carpet, giant cages fell from the sky, trapping them, after which they were set on fire. Two griefers even managed to sneak inside the BB house: they were re-decorating it for four hours before they were spotted.
How to: Caging is fast becoming one of the most entertaining griefs in SL. This is a much more benevolent grief, unlike the antics of W-Hat, but still a mighty surprise for a newbie. Teleport an innocent new player to the middle of nowhere, leave them for a few seconds to stare in confusion, and then drop a metal cage over their head. Eventually, they’ll figure out they can escape by flying up and head butting the lid.
