Hugh Grant joins Guy Ritchies The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
He’ll play a supporting role
Ten years ago, if you told us Hugh Grant would be starring in Guy Ritchie’s next movie we’d have laughed you out of the room, but that’s exactly what’s happening with The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
To be fair, Ritchie has left his knockabout cockney capers firmly in the past, with Grant joining the A-list likes of Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer for the forthcoming blockbuster.
Grant will play the head of British Naval Intelligence, a role that should fit his clipped English gent routine down to a tee.
The film will follow Cavill and Hammer as a pair of secret agents fighting against a host of evildoers, primarily the terrorist organisation known as THRUSH.
Directed by Ritchie and co-starring Alicia Vikander and Elizabeth Debicki, the film is expected to arrive at some point next year, with an official release date to be confirmed.
