Hugh Jackman flexes in behind-the-scenes Wolverine image
Director James Mangold reveals the still via Twitter
Directors revealing photos from behind the scenes of their superhero movies is becoming a legitimate trend on Twitter, with The Wolverine helmer James Mangold following the lead of Marc Webb ( The Amazing Spider-Man ) and Bryan Singer ( X-Men: Days Of Future Past ) .
Mangold took to the social networking site to reveal an image of an extremely ripped-looking Jackman (in Wolvie’s trad vest get-up) filming a wood-chopping scene in Omishima. We’re guessing this scene will do little to quell Jackman’s ‘ultimate male’ status…
Mangold also notes that an eight-inch caterpillar was spotted on set that morning (probably not a euphemism).
The still should help to sate the appetites of fans desperate for the trailer: Mangold previously promised a glimpse in early 2013 , so we’re hoping that’ll drop sooner rather than later.
