Hugh Jackman stars as Blackbeard in first images from Pan
The first images have arrived online from Joe Wright’s Pan, courtesy of EW.com, giving us our first look at Hugh Jackman’s villainous Blackbeard.
Quite the figure he cuts too, with blackened eyes reminiscent of Dustin Hoffman’s Hook, and brandishing a cutlass that could comfortably skin a crocodile…
The new film will apparently tell, “the untold story of how a young orphan boy from London is spirited away to the magical Neverland, where he finds great adventures that shape him into the hero known to generations as Peter Pan.”
Said orphan boy will be played by Levi Miller, seen here cowering from Blackbeard, while Garrett Hedlund will play Hook, and Rooney Mara, Tiger Lily.
Directed by Wright and co-starring Amanda Seyfried, Kathy Burke and Adeel Akhtar, Pan will open in both the UK and US on 17 July 2015.
