Hugh Jackman voicing Guardians Of GaHoole
Hugo Weaving’s also on the animated pic
Hugh Jackman, Hugo Weaving and True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten are lending their tonsils to new ‘toon Guardians Of Ga’Hoole.
According to Australia’s Daily Telegraph, Zack Snyder will be keeping his mind off Watchmen’s legal worries to direct the movie, which is adapted from a series of kids’ books by Kathryn Lasky.
The plot finds a group of barn owls facing an evil that wants to destroy their forest. It won’t shock you to learn that this is from the team behind Happy Feet.
Happy Feet scribe
Keeping the script in the family, Happy Feet’s co-writer John Collee will pen the pic with A Mighty Heart’s John Orloff.
Oh, and Lasky has written 15 books to date, so if the first one takes off, this could easily become a new ‘toon franchise. Step forward Warners, which is likely to distribute it.
Let’s hope they’ve got all the rights and contracts sorted out this time, shall we?
