Rumour: Hulk to appear next in Thor: Ragnarok

With the Hulk absent from Captain America: Civil War, and no solo movie on the horizon any time soon, fans have been wondering when they will next be able to get their fix of Mark Ruffalo’s big green rage-ball. The most likely scenario seemed to have been that he would cross over into the Guardians Of The Galaxy franchise, only for James Gunn to repeatedly dismiss the rumour as nonsense.

However, JoBlo.com claims to know exactly where Dr. Banner is set to turn up next, with the outlet reporting that "inside sources" have confirmed that the Hulk will appear in Thor: Ragnarok. Those same sources also assert that Tom Hiddleston will also be back on board as Loki, alongside Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif.

While the report stops short of specific plot details, it does state that the new film will involve "a distant planet" that is neither Earth nor Asgard. Planet Hulk, anyone? Nothing is confirmed as of yet, but the pieces would certainly seem to fit. Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Ragnarok will open in the UK on October 27 2017 and the US on November 3 2017.
