Hunters rejoice, a Bloodborne expansion is on the way
Already sick of Velen and itching to get back to Yharnam? Good news, Sony President Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed on Twitter that Bloodborne is getting an expansion. No news of a release date yet but we’ll be hearing more later this year.
So I have been asked by many people if we are making DLC for Bloodborne. I can say... An expansion is coming. More info later this year. :DMay 21, 2015
Bloodborne producer Masaaki Yamagiwa has also confirmed that the DLC is in the works and a patch is on the way too. The below Tweet translates as “#Bloodborne Announcement about the future. Requested DLC is currently under construction. Stay tuned to the second report. Update 1.04 to 5 / 25 delivery is also scheduled.”
#Bloodborne の今後についてお知らせです。ご要望の多かったDLCを現在制作中です。続報にご期待ください。またアップデート1.04を5/25に配信予定です。今後ともBloodborne(ブラッドボーン)をよろしくお願いします https://t.co/gkEm0MmOyxMay 21, 2015
Previous From Software add ons have always been story rich so it’s fair to guess that Bloodborne’s add on won’t just be a couple of tacked on fiendish bosses. Not that we’d really mind that anyway.
Bloodborne’s runaway success as a PS4 exclusive was a surprise to Sony after it sold more than a million copies. “It did surprise us,” managing director of Sony UK Fergal Gara told MCV last week. “We had expectations to do well. We looked at the Souls series as a frame of reference, and we thought we could do better than that. We did—and then some. Relative to some of our sister territories, we were being quite ambitious, but even that proved to be conservative."
Perhaps a dark gory Christmas present this year instead of the usual coal?
