OC ReMix's 25YEARLEGEND album is an adventure for your ear holes
Indie composers from across the industry have combined their musical talents to produce a Legend of Zelda cover album in honor of the Hyrulian franchise's 25th birthday. Produced by OverClocked ReMix (OC ReMix), the online haven for video game music fans, 25YEARLEGEND is equipped with 18 tracks of chiptuney, classical, remixed goodness. And best of all, it's free...
Here's a preview:
The 25YEARLEGEND album started as a side project by indie musician Roger Hicks (aka Rekcahdam), but quickly expanded to include works from other notable gaming composers including Jimmy Hinson (Mass Effect 2, Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix), Daniel Rosenfield (Minecraft), Magnus Palsson (VVVVVV), Jeff Ball (Monkey Island 2: Special Edition), Laura Shigihara (To the Moon), and many more. Browse the full track list, or discover them one by one by downloading the full album for free at the 25YEARLEGEND page.
The Legend of Zelda series will also be honored as Spike TV's first Video Game Hall of Fame inductee during the network's 2011 Video Game Awards on December 10.
