Warner Bros. has officially confirmed a long-rumoured special edition of Injustice Gods Among Us. Set for release on November 12 in the US and November 29 in the UK, the Ultimate Edition will be available on original Injustice launch platforms Xbox 360 and PS3, but not on Wii U. The title will also make its debut on PS4, PC and Vita, but not on Xbox One.
The Conduit and Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition studio High Voltage is handling the PS4 and PC versions of the game. The former will feature touchpad functionality, video sharing and streaming, and will link to players’ PlayStation Network Feed page during match wrap-ups and pause menus.
The Vita version is being handled by Armature Studio, the team behind the Vita port of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. It will feature touch controls for mini-games in the story mode and S.T.A.R. Labs Missions, ad-hoc and Wi-Fi multiplayer, plus collectible hero cards.
Ultimate Edition will include all original game content plus the DLC released post-launch. The add-on content includes Lobo, Batgirl, General Zod, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna and Scorpion as playable fighters, plus 40 character skins and 60 S.T.A.R. Labs Missions. In the UK, the game will cost £49.99 on PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360, and £29.99 on PC and Vita.
