Injustice joins the PS3 to PS4 digital upgrade programme

The newly announced Ultimate Edition of Injustice: Gods Among Us has joined Sony's PS3 to PS4 digital upgrade programme in Europe, taking the place of recently delayed game Watch Dogs. The upgrade programme is a limited time offer that will enable users to pick up digital PS4 versions of select games for a discounted price if they've bought the PS3 editions on disc or digitally.

In Europe, supported games include Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, NBA 2K14 and Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition. In the US, Assassin's Creed 4, Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts are included.

Injustice Ultimate Edition will include the original game plus all DLC released post-launch. The add-on content includes Lobo, Batgirl, General Zod, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna and Scorpion as playable fighters, plus 40 character skins and 60 S.T.A.R. Labs Missions. In the UK, the game will cost £49.99 on PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360, and £29.99 on PC and Vita.

The Conduit and Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition studio High Voltage is handling the PS4 and PC versions of the game. The former will feature touchpad functionality, video sharing and streaming, and will link to players’ PlayStation Network Feed page during match wrap-ups and pause menus.
