Insane new red-band trailer for horror anthology V/H/S

Horror anthology V/H/S has released a new red-band trailer in which a set of mysterious videotapes contains a host of horrifying vignettes, each directed by a different member of the horror community.

The film uses the framing device of a bunch of petty crims who are hired to break into a house in search of a mythical VHS tape. When they get there, they find a whole library full of videos (as well as a corpse), and must give them all a watch to find the one they want. Needless to say, they contain some pretty grisly stuff.

The trailer is a fairly chaotic affair, jumping from story to story with demented abandon, but there are enough blood, shocks and screams to give you the general idea of what to expect.

Check out the new trailer below...

The various sections are directed by a veritable who’s who of up and coming horror maestros, including Ti West, David Bruckner, Adam Wingard, Joe Swanberg, Glenn McQuaid and the Radio Silence group.

The film got plenty of buzz when it aired at this year’s Sundance festival, and is set to arrive in the UK later this year, with a specific release date yet to be confirmed. Somewhere around 31 October would probably be a safe bet...
