Inversion achievement/trophy guide
High gravity, hard achievements
Chapter Twelve
10g/Bronze
Complete the final checkpoint in Deja Vanguard on Normal or High Difficulty
This chapter ends with a battle against the Behemoth. While not all that difficult, it can get a little frustrating when he unleashes the Lavagun. Like all the chapter specific achievements and trophies, you don’t actually need to play through the entire chapter on Normal or High difficulty. All you need to do is finish the final checkpoint to be rewarded.
Chapter Two
10g/Bronze
Complete the final checkpoint in Caged on Normal or High Difficulty
Like all the chapter specific achievements and trophies, you don’t actually need to play through the entire chapter on Normal or High difficulty. All you need to do is finish the final checkpoint to be rewarded.
Dude Bro!
5g/Bronze
Complete a Campaign level with a Friend (Any Difficulty)
Start up any of the chapters with a co-op partner and play through it to completion. If you are playing the entire game for the “Meatheads” achievement/trophy, then you will get this after the first chapter.
Easy Going
25g/Bronze
Finish the Campaign on Low Gravity Difficulty
Low Gravity is the term the game uses for the easiest difficulty setting. If you play entire game on this setting or even just lower the difficulty to this for one checkpoint, you will receive this at the end of the game.
Enforcer
25g/Bronze
Reach Gold Grav Major Rank
To receive this, you will need to reach 430,000 XP points by playing multiplayer matches and completing challenges.
Feats Don't Fail Me Now
50g/Gold
Complete All Multiplayer Basic Challenges
In the multiplayer menu, hit Y/Triangle to pull up the list of all the challenges that are available. There are Basic Challenges, Weapon Challenges, and Rank Challenges. To get all of the Basic Challenges, you will need to complete each and every challenge listed on each of the multiple pages that can be accessed by pressing LB/L1 and RB/R1.
While some of these challenges are pretty easy to get, there are some that belie the term “basic.” There are numerous challenges that must be met, and these challenges must be done on each and every gametype; Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Hourglass, Assault, King of Gravity, Grav Control, Gravity Slaughter, and Survival. To say that this achievement/trophy will take a very long time is a bit of an understatement.
Fivesome
50g/Silver
Use the Gravlink to kill 5 Lutadores with one object (Campaign)
During Chapter 6 “Road to Hell” and at the Broken Highway checkpoint, you will be under a freeway overpass with lots of cars around and a slew of enemies that come rushing towards you. Wait for them to gather in a group and then pick up one of the cars next to you. Toss it down the street at them, aiming more in front of them so that you don’t throw it over their heads, and let it slide down the road to take them out.
Gold Star
10g/Bronze
Get 1st Place in a Deathmatch game (Matchmaking)
All you need to do to get this is win yourself a round of Deathmatch. Take an early lead and try your damnedest to hold on to it! If you are playing a round, all players have to finish the match. If all the other players leave – even if you are in the lead – the round won’t count and you won’t get this.
Grand Master Gravity
Platinum
Unlock All Trophies
PlayStation 3 only trophy, rewarded for unlocking all the other trophies found in the game.
Grappler
25g/Silver
Take the Gravlink from the Lutadores
This is story related and will happen during Chapter 3 when you pick up the Grav Link Unit after defeating the Lutadore Captain.
Gravlink Gangsta
25g/Silver
Use the Gravlink to throw 50 Lutadore Enemies (Campaign)
Throwing enemies can be not only hilariously fun, but also pretty useful. Use R1/RB to send the enemies floating and then L1/LB to grab them. Once you have them in your grasp, use right trigger to toss them at a high speed. You can simply lift groups of enemies at once and grab them one by one, tossing them straight into the air to be rid of them. Once you have tossed 50, this will be all yours, as will the other two achievement and trophies that you received along the way.
Gravlink Hustler
15g/Silver
Use the Gravlink to throw 30 Lutadore Enemies (Campaign)
On your way to the “Gravlink Gangsta” achievement/trophy, you will get this when you have completed it just over halfway. Use R1/RB to send the enemies floating and then once they are in the air, use L1/LB to grab them. Once you have them in your grasp, use right trigger to toss them at a high speed. You can simply lift groups of enemies at once and grab them one by one, tossing them straight into the air to be rid of them.
Gravlink Thug
10g/Bronze
Use the Gravlink to throw 15 Lutadore Enemies (Campaign)
On your way to the “Gravlink Gangsta” achievement/trophy, you will get this when you are just getting started. Simply use R1/RB to send the enemies floating and then L1/LB to grab them. Once you have them in your grasp, use right trigger to toss them at a high speed. You can lift groups of enemies at once and grab them one by one, tossing them straight into the air to be rid of them. After a measly 15 enemies, you will get this and be well on your way to getting 50.
Half Sack
5g/Bronze
Reach Silver Grav Sergeant Rank
To receive this, you will need to reach 60,000 XP points by playing multiplayer matches and/or completing multiplayer challenges.
High G Amateur
15g/Bronze
Perform 10 Finishing Moves using High Grav Powers (Campaign)
To perform a finishing move when using High G Powers, you need to first hit the enemy with the High Grav shot and then run over to their location. When you reach the downed enemy, you will be given a prompt to press B/O to finish them off.
High G Champ
25g/Silver
Perform 50 Finishing Moves using High Grav Powers (Campaign)
A little more than the “High G Amateur” achievement/trophy, this one requires you to off 50 enemies using the finishing move. Simply hit the enemies with a blast of High G energy and then run up to them while they are on the ground and press B/O to finish them off. 50 can take a while as you need to do this to the regular Lutadore enemies, since using the High G powers on slaves will kill them instantly.
I'm About to Blow
25g/Silver
Kill 100 Lutadore Enemies with explosives in the Campaign (Grenades, Rockets, Barrels)
Throughout the campaign, there will be more than ample opportunities to toss explosive items at enemies. Any time you see a red object, it’s a good indication that it will explode on contact. Red barrels, cylinders, and propane tanks will all to the trick. Later on in the game, there will also be suicide slaves that have explosives strapped to them. Lift them and toss them at enemies to help this along.
