While Spielberg is plotting a Robopocalypse o n the big screen, CSI creator and exec producer Anthony E Zuiker is planning Cybergeddon for the web. Sadly, we don’t think this involves Cybermen.
Zuiker has now announced the cast and director for his new “digital movie” which will premiere globally on Yahoo! in September 2012 in a series of installments (so how is it different to a web series then? We’ll have to wait and see…)
Heroes and Reaper actress Missy Peregrym and French actor Olivier Martinez head the cast, while Diego Velasco ( The Zero Hour ) will direct.
According to Deadline , the story follows agents Chloe Jocelyn (Peregrym) and Frank Parker (Manny Montana) and master hacker Chase “Rabbit” Rosen (Kick Gurry) as they investigate a number of seemingly unrelated cyber attacks. Chloe and her team must crack the worldwide cybercrime ring led by Gustove Dobreff (Martinez) before it’s too late.
Cybergeddon , written by Miles Chapman ( The Tomb ), is currently in production in Toronto.
