Is this the most violent wrestling game ever?
New shots of Backyard Wrestling 2 include facebusters on concrete, chainsaws and deep fat fryers. Nice
If your preferred brand of gaming hero is prone to throwing themselves through burning tables or dunking people's heads in deep fat fryers, then you'll be pleased to learn that Eidos have just released a slew of new screenshots of trailer park trash-pleasing fist-fest Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighbourhood.
Indeed, you really wouldn't want any of this lot moving in next to you, with their proclivity for chainsaw-fuelled ultra-violence and all. Still, there is a method to the madness with the main part of the game based around the fact that Backyard Wrestling Inc has announced "your town" as the location of its first live pay-per-view event, with the ultimate objective being to capture the BYW championship belt.
The, erm, eclectic roster of characters includes backyard brawlers, barely-clad women and a handful of 'proper' pro wrestlers such as Vampiro, New Jack and Vic Grimes, while new features include online fighting and an enhanced create-a-wrestler mode.
Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighbourhood is due to be released for PS2 and Xbox in October
