The show will pick up straight after the first series finale, with the show’s protagonist Sarah (Maslany) facing off against new antagonist Rachel (also Maslany).
"The main drive this season is this budding war between Sarah and Rachel," explains series co-creator Graeme Manson.
Mason claims there’s "a loose three-season plan" for the show, but that they also have “ideas on how to go beyond that”.
Orphan Black ’s second season will air from Saturday 19 April 2014 on BBC America in the US and will air in BBC Three in the UK at a later date. You can find out more about it in our three-page news feature in SFX 's print edition on sale tomorrow (issue 247).
