Bone-breaking interrogations incoming! Jack Reacher 2 gets 2016 release date
We’ve known for some time that Paramount was planning a second Jack Reacher film, but now the sequel has an official release date. According to a press release from the studio, Jack Reacher 2 will be hitting our screens on October 21, 2016. Original director Chris McQuarrie will not be returning, but the new film will see a reunion between Tom Cruise and director Ed Zwick. The two have previously worked together on The Last Samurai, where they were joined by screenwriter Marshall Herskovitz, who will also be penning the sequel's script.
The new film has apparently been adapted from author Lee Child’s novel Never Go Back, the 18th book in the Jack Reacher series in which our hero finds himself up on abuse charges and the suggestion he has fathered a child, neither of which he has any memory of. Needless to say, it isn’t long before he sets about discovering the truth, one limb-snapping interrogation at a time…
