Jackie Earle Haley interested in Dark Shadows
Could join Burton horror
His stint as Freddy Krueger may have been met with wails of dismay, but Jackie Earle Haley’s interest in the horror genre hasn’t waned any.
If anything, he’s going up in the world, as he’s currently in talks to join Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows.
Based on the 1960s TV show, Shadows follows vampire Barnabas Collins, who’s been recently released from his coffin-based slumber.
Haley would reportedly play Willie Loomis, who attempts to con the Collins estate but instead ends up being their lackey.
Johnny Depp has already signed to play Collins, while Neighbours star Bella Heathcote is also in talks to play young governess Victoria Winters.
After his stellar turns in Watchmen and Shutter Island , we'd love to see Haley team up with Burton. Frankly, he'd be crazy not to.
Filming on Dark Shadows kicks off in April.
