Captain America: Civil War will link to Thor: Ragnarok says Jaimie Alexander
While most dedicated Marvel-watchers are expecting Captain America: Civil War to deal primarily with the escalating tensions within the Avengers, Jaimie Alexander has confirmed that the film will also link into Thor: Ragnarok with a number of references to the Realm Eternal… "There’s a lot of great stuff they’ve peppered in through Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Avengers…" explains Alexander to the LA Times. "[Civil War] will have some stuff. There’s just all kind of Easter eggs and hints, if you’re really paying attention. They’re so good at interweaving everything throughout those films."
With the two Infinity War films set to deal with the more cosmic side of the MCU, it makes sense that Civil War will attempt to remind viewers of the situation off-Earth. Meanwhile, fans of Alexander's Lady Sif will be pleased to learn the character still has a big part to play further down the track…
"Marvel, I think on purpose, they don’t tell me certain things," says the star. "Because they know I’ll be like, 'So here’s what’s gonna happen.' But I do know I will be in Thor 3 and that Sif will have a very pivotal part in that movie. I just can’t tell you what because I’ll get shot."
Captain America: Civil War will open in the UK on April 29, 2016 and the US on May 6, 2016. Thor: Ragnarok will open in the UK on October 27, 2017 and the US on November 3, 2017.
