James Cameron says Avatar is CG hell
Watch video interview with director inside
James Cameron has been talking all things Avatar to CBC’s George Stroumboulopoulos and we’ve got the video.
Jim’s in a jovial mood in the clip, taking time out from discussing his career CV to make the occasional joke at his own expense.
But the mood turns serious when he starts discussing Avatar.
CG hell
“It’s going to be interesting, it’s consumed all my time for the last couple of years we still have a year to go on it.
“We’re finished with the actors and their performances are wonderful and we’re just in this CG hell trying to create a world from scratch and it’s pretty daunting,” he says.
And if the man who made Titantic, Terminator 2 and Aliens thinks a post production process is daunting, you'd better believe him.
