James Franco cast in new Stephen King TV series
Hulu's new adaptation of Stephen King's 11/22/63 has found itself a leading man, with James Franco having signed on to star in the new series.
Franco will play high school English teacher Jake Epping, who travels back in time in order to thwart the assassination of President Kennedy.
Sounds simple enough doesn't it, but unfortunately for Epping, Lee Harvey Oswald has other ideas, as does the very fabric of the past itself. Time travel, eh? Never straightforward.
Franco will also serve as a producer on the new show, alongside J.J. Abrams, making for quite the attention-grabbing lineup for Hulu's first big-name show.
The new series will be nine episodes long and will make its bow at some point during the 2015 / 2016 schedule. No specific air date has been confirmed at this stage.
