Hulk no smash in Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Despite the proliferation of Avengers set to crop up in Captain America: Civil War, we discovered last week that the Hulk will not be among their number. That in turn spawned a rumour that our big green chum might be being held back for an appearance elsewhere, namely in the Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel…
However, director James Gunn has wasted little time in shooting that rumour down, ruling out a Hulk cameo in no uncertain terms. “I will comment on it now (as I've done before),” said Gunn via Twitter, “there is zero chance you will see Hulk in GotGVol2.” Which sounds pretty conclusive to us.
It’s not the first time Gunn has dismissed the notion of a Hulk / Guardians crossover, describing a previous rumour as “complete bullshit”. Kevin Feige has also described reports of a Hulk cameo as “incorrect”, so unless it’s the mother of all double-bluffs, we’d say we can safely put this one to bed now. The Hulk-less Star-Lord, Groot, Rocket and chums will return to UK screens on April 28 2017 before hitting the US on May 5 2017.
