Jared Harris will star in Poltergeist remake
Joins Rosemarie DeWitt and rumoured Sam Rockwell
MGM's Poltergeist remake has added some more star-power to its steadily-growing cast, with Deadline reporting that Jared Harris has signed on to join the production.
No details have been confirmed as yet regarding who Harris will be playing, although the report claims that he will be appearing as a co-lead alongside DeWitt, and Sam Rockwell is also rumoured to be on board.
DeWitt and Rockwell will be playing the Bowens, a married couple who find themselves struggling with the recession and forced to downsize into a creaky old home out in the suburbs.
Naturally, something in the house isn't best pleased with their arrival, and it isn't long before things begin to go bump in the night. And bump in the day, for that matter.
Kyle Catlett has also joined the cast as the couple's young son, and something tells us that he won't be in for any easier a ride than the one afforded to his parents...
Directed by Gil Kenan, with Sam Raimi on production duties, Poltergeist is expected to arrive in cinemas at some point in 2014.
In other Jared Harris casting news (via The Hollwood Reporter ), he recently joined Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E. , where he'll appear alongside Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander and Hugh Grant.
