Jared Leto sent Margot Robbie a black rat on the set of Suicide Squad
It's no secret that Jared Leto went full method while portraying the Joker in Suicide Squad, and it's a wonder how the rest of the cast coped. The latest to share a Leto anecdote is Viola Davis, who spoke to Vanity Fair about the day Leto sent his co-star Margot Robbie a black rat. Yes, really.
Check out the video below for the details (skip to 1:57 for the Suicide Squad talk)...
While Leto's actions are undeniably weird - and have us curious as to whether anyone else on the set got his 'gifts' - Davis finishes her story by saying that it inspired her to "have my stuff together", so the actor's crazy shenanigans may yet prove worth it in the long run if it helped to bring out better performances from his fellow thespians. We can't imagine they'd be too excited about working with him again though...
Directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Joel Kinnaman, Suicide Squad will open in the UK and US on August 5, 2016.
