Jason Clarke in talks to play John Connor in Terminator: Genesis
While studio and director debate the leading lady
Casting news aplenty for the newly-christened Terminator: Genesis this morning, with Deadline reporting that Jason Clarke is in talks to join the film as John Connor.
It had previously been believed that Tom Hardy was the studio's first pick for the role, but Clarke now looks to be the new frontrunner to play the robot-battling Messiah.
However, things are less clear-cut when it comes to who will play Sarah Connor, with director Alan Taylor and studio Paramount reportedly opting for different favourites.
Taylor is apparently keen to give the role to his Game Of Thrones collaborator, Emilia Clarke, while the studio favours Brie Larson in the part.
The Wrap claims that a decision is expected by 15 December, so something will have to give in the next few days…
