Jason Isaacs has Stopping Power
He’s in Jan de Bont’s thriller with John Cusack
It’s been a while since Jason Isaacs has had a quality role that he can really get his teeth into. Sure, he’s done some decent telly work and had a few small roles in movies (including stealing scenes in various Harry Potters), but we haven’t seen him play a truly scowling villain what seems like ages.
All that should change now he’s signed up to star in Jan de Bont’s latest thriller, Stopping Power. He’ll play the evil nemesis of John Cusack, who is racing to rescue his kidnapped daughter from Isaac’s clutches. And Melissa George has also signed on, playing Cusack’s girlfriend.
We know what you’re thinking – this is Jan de Bont, the man who made Twister, Speed 2 and the rubbish Lara Croft sequel. But surely a man like John Cusack can’t pick a bad movie… Right? Right? Well, they start shooting next month in Berlin anyway.
