Jason Momoa in line for Magnificent Seven remake
Antoine Fuqua’s remake of The Magnificent Seven has added some muscle to its ranks, with THR reporting that Jason Momoa is in negotiations with MGM to join the production.
According to THR, Momoa could be about to play the villain of the piece. It had initially been reported that that was the role Vincent D’Onofrio would be taking, only for the star himself to confirm he would be playing one of the heroes.
The project has been quietly assembling a thoroughly star-studded cast over recent months, with Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke and Chris Pratt all officially attached to the film. Byung-hun Lee has also just been added to the ensemble in the role of Billy Rocks, while Wagner Moura, Luke Grimes, and Haley Bennett round out the rest of the crew ahead of the film’s release on 13 January 2017.
