Jeb Bush calls W "unadulterated hooey"
Governor of Florida slates Bush biopic
Whilst the current administration of The White House has been tight-lipped about Oliver Stone's Bush biopic W, brother Jeb hasn't been so reserved.
“The Oedipal rivalry is high-grade, unadulterated hooey," he told the Washington Times , referring to the portrayal of Bush's relationship with his father.
In the film, the rivalry is portrayed as one of the reasons for the invasion of Iraq in 2003.
“No one from the film gave us a call”
Jeb Bush joins many others in condemning both Stone and screenwriter Stanley Weiser for not approaching those portrayed as part of their research.
Keith Urbahn, spokesman for Donald Rumsfeld, told the Times: "No one from the film gave us a call. Donald Rumsfeld has neither the intention nor interest in seeing W.
"Judging from what I've seen from the trailer, it doesn't seem like veracity and the historical record were high on Stone's priority list."
