Jeepers Creepers 3 is on the way
A notorious noughties horror villain is getting ready to gas up his old ramshackle van and plough it into the nearest gaggle of teens, as Variety confirms that Jeepers Creepers 3 is on the way.
Writer-director Victor Salvo returns after steering the first two horrors to the big screen in 2001 and 2003 respectively, along with Francis Ford Coppola's American Zoetrope production outfit who worked on the first two flicks. The news broke at the Toronto International Film Festival, where financier Myriad Pictures also plans to sell the film.
In development for over a decade, the third outing was originally scheduled to head into production after the first sequel dropped yet financial struggles put it on the backburner. Now that it's back on track we can look forward to seeing Jonathan Breck reprise his role as 'The Creeper' - an ancient creature who enjoys feasting on human flesh for 23 days and 23 days every spring. Yum. Jeepers Creepers 3 starts shooting early next year.
