Jeff Daniels says Dumb And Dumber To should begin filming in September 2013
"We're still that stupid"
The wheels appear to be well and truly in motion on long-awaited sequel Dumb & Dumber To , with Jeff Daniels revealing that shooting is set to begin on the project in September 2013.
The film has been kicking around for some time now, with Warner Bros having delayed and delayed before finally passing on the project and allowing Universal to snap up the rights.
Now it appears that the sequel is back on track for a summer 2014 release date, which would mark the twentieth anniversary of the original film's release. Although Bridges did point out that he won't believe it's actually happening until he's opposite co-star Jim Carrey on set.
"I’ve seen the script. It’s hysterical,” said Daniels in an interview with Jimmy Fallon. “We’re middle-aged, we’re not pretending we aren’t. We’re middle-aged and we’re still that stupid."
With Jim Carrey also set to return and the Farrelly brothers safely installed behind the camera, let's hope that this one proves to have been worth the wait when it hits UK screens next summer.
