Jennifer Garner visits The Kingdom
The Alias and Elektra star is joining Jamie Foxx for a Middle Eastern thriller
Now that TV show Alias is finally spluttering to a halt, and daughter Violet is old enough that she can be left with the nanny for five minutes, Jennifer Garner is applying the electrodes to her film career.
She’s negotiating to star with Jamie Foxx in The Kingdom for Universal. With Chris Cooper having just jumped aboard, the film is gearing up for a June start, with Very Bad Things director Peter Berg exercising his megaphone arm in preparation.
The plot focuses on an FBI team called to work in a Middle Eastern country when a terrorist bombing destroys a compound housing American workers. Matthew Michael Carnahan has been hard at work on the script and could represent a much-needed quality boost for Garner, who last starred in (whisper it) Elektra.
