Jennifer Lawrence stars in first trailer for Joy
Jennifer Lawrence reunites with The Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle director David O. Russell for another adaptation, Joy. Their third collaboration takes inspiration from the real life experiences of Joy Mangano, creator of the Miracle Mop that spawned a billion dollar empire.
Charting Mangano's rise from a struggling mother of three to a thriving business owner, her invention takes off on the Home Shopping Network and leads to her international success. In the starring role, Lawrence steals every second of this two-minute teaser - that's more of a merry-go-round of images than straight-forward trailer. Scope out the first glimpse below...
Arriving in theaters just in time for maximum Oscar buzz, Lawrence looks on track to snag another Best Actress nomination. Co-starring Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper, Edgar Ramirez, Isabella Rossellini, Diane Ladd, and Virginia Madsen, Joy opens in the US on December 25 and in the UK on January 1, 2016.
