Jericho: not for the squeamish

Clive Barker and Codemasters aren't pulling any punches when it comes to blood, violence and gore in the forthcoming Jericho - if you don't believe us, check out these newscreenshotsand trailer (below)that have been released. Also, if you like what you see, check out our in-depthvideo coverage.
Jericho's a squad-based FPS/horror-fest that relates the story of Jericho Team, a strike force established to protect the government from paranormal threat. A melting pot of Rambo, the Pope and the arcane arts, each member of Jericho is a kick-ass, modern-day warrior additionally trained in the arts of exorcism, clairvoyance, alchemy and blood magic.
According to the plot, the team is drawn into a fight against ancient evil which has crossed through a dimensional rift and is threatening Earth.
In addition to releasing the new screenshots and trailer, Codemasters has announced that videogame composer Cris Velasco has scored an original soundtrack for Jericho. Velasco's previous credits include God of War and God of War II, and his work on Jericho can be experienced in the new trailer.
Clive Barker's Jericho is due out October on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
