Jet Grind Radio heading to iOS this Summer

Sega announced a bit of good news for Dreamcast fans today as they revealed the the HD re-release of Jet Grind Radio will be coming to iOS and Android this Summer alongside thelaunch of the XBLA, PSN, Vita and PC versions.

Sega has even confirmed that the game will support some upgrades for the iOS platform (fairly standard upgrades at this point in iOS gaming) including Retina graphics and Open Feint support.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Jet Grind Radio (believe it or not it's been twelve years since the original came out and a whole new generation has grown up without it) it was a wildly original game that originally debuted on the Sega Dreamcast back in 2000.

It combined extreme roller blading stunts with graffiti art to create an experience like nobody had ever seen back at the turn of the millennium. It was also the game that popularized the use of the cell shaded graphics we now see in the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Borderlands.
