J.K. Rowling has completed wonderful script for Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is steadily moving forward, with producer David Heyman revealing that J.K. Rowling has finished her script for the Harry Potter spin-off.
“Jo has written a wonderful script,” Heyman told The Telegraph during this weekend’s premiere of Paddington. “It’s early stages. David Yates is directing and we start filming next year. I'm just really excited about it.”
The script represents Rowling’s first movie screenplay, with Yates having previously waxed lyrical about her debut effort…
“She is so smart,” enthused Heyman in an earlier interview with the paper, “and her turn of phrase, the precision of the language she uses, is a joy to behold.”
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them will follow the exploits of magical creature expert, Newt Scamander, in an adventure set some seventy years before the events of the first Harry Potter story.
Directed by David Yates, the film will open in the UK and the US on 18 November 2016.
