JK Simmons to narrate Jason Reitmans Young Adult
The new film from Diablo Cody
JK Simmons may not be resurrecting his J. Jonah Jameson role in The Amazing Spider-Man , but that doesn’t mean he’s not keeping busy.
The gravelly-voiced actor has revealed that he will be narrating Jason Reitman’s new comedy drama Young Adult .
Seeing as the film's been scripted by wordsmith Diablo Cody, we're sure he'll have some fun lines to chew over.
“Not unlike True Grit with the Coen Brothers, you will not see me in Young Adult , but you will hear me,” he tells Coming Soon.
“They asked me to do the voice-over when they were in post-production, and then Jason asked me to do the voice-over in Young Adult , because at this point, I'm his good luck charm. I've been in every feature he's directed.”
Young Adult stars Charlize Theron as a fiction writer who returns to her home town to woo the ex-boyfriend who got away. Problem is he’s now married.
Next for Simmons is drama The Music Never Stops , as well as Mark Wahlberg’s thriller Contraband .
