Joaquin Phoenix could mentor Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter
He’s been offered the role
Joaquin Phoenix took a time out from Hollywood for a couple of years in order to play an off-the-rails version of himself in mock-doc I’m Still Here.
Now that that’s all over and done with, the actor’s contemplating how he’s going to bounce back into movieland.
And what better way to do it than with the awesome-sounding Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter ?
The film’s currently being set up by producer Tim Burton and director Timur Bekmambetov, and Phoenix has been offered the role of Henry, a mythic figure who helps transform the 16th US president into a killer of the undead.
Deadline report that the role is Phoenix’s for the taking. If he decides to grab it, he’ll be joining the recently-cast Benjamin Walker (who’ll play Lincoln) in the adap of Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel.
Phoenix just has to ask himself this - what could possibly trump such an epic high concept? Nothing, say we.
