Johnny Depp is under arrest in an exclusive clip from The Lone Ranger
Tonto and The Lone Ranger face off…
The Lone Ranger is galloping into cinemas during summer 2013, with Armie Hammer in the title role, and Johnny Depp looking set to pinch scenes as Native American spirit warrior Tonto.
Reconvening the key talent from Disney’s Pirates Of The Caribbean mega-franchise (star Depp, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Gore Verbinski), TLR will be hoping to emulate the phenomenal box office success of those earlier films, by adapting from an equally unlikely source (trading in theme-park rides for character birthed in a ‘30s radio serial).
We’ve got our hands on a brand new clip from the film, which sees Hammer's lawman attempting to arrest Depp's disinterested warrior. The sparky buddy banter and odd-couple chemistry between the leads should give a pretty decent idea of what to expect from the finished film.

If you liked the look of that, The Lone Ranger opens in the UK on 9 August 2013, after a Stateside bow on 3 July 2013.
