Jon Favreau to direct Disneys Magic Kingdom
Making theme park movie
Disney are looking to expand their theme-park-to-movie stock, having hired director Jon Favreau for Magic Kingdom .
The Magic Kingdom theme park is one of the biggest at the Walt Disney World Resort, and is most recognisable as the home of the Cinderella Castle, as well as the Thunder Mountain Railroad among other attractions.
Iron Man helmer Favreau will be in charge of the adap, with Heat Vision reporting that the film revolves around “the Disneyland theme park in which attractions and characters come to life”.
Which tells us zip about what the film will really be about. Will it merely end up as an extended version of those Disney resort ads where Dumbo and co greet theme park visitors?
Considering Favs is the man behind the awesome-looking Cowboys & Aliens , we’re sure he’s got something slightly more enticing on the cards.
