Jon Hamm joins Edgar Wrights heist movie Baby Driver
Edgar Wright’s next film Baby Driver has just added some more A-list clout to its already impressive ensemble, with Jon Hamm the latest name to join the cast. According to Variety negotiations are at a very advanced stage to bring the Mad Men actor on board to co-star alongside Jamie Foxx, Lily James and Ansel Elgort.
The film will follow the exploits of a young getaway driver who finds himself coerced into working for a ruthless crime boss. Not the most understanding of employers then, and when a high-stakes heist goes badly wrong, our hero finds his life under serious threat.
Wright is both writing and directing the film, which will be his first since The World’s End back in 2013. After the disappointment of seeing him drop out of Ant-Man, fans will be pleased to see his return to cinema.
