Joseph Gordon-Levitt in talks for Django Unchained
Could join Quentin Tarantino's latest
If you've recently asked yourself if Django Unchained , Quentin Tarantino's take on the spaghetti western, could get any cooler, the chances are you'd have answered yourself 'no'.
Well get ready to revise that answer as news comes in that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is set to join the movie, according to a report by Variety (via The Playlist ).
Gordon-Levitt is one in-demand actor right about now. Cancer dramedy 50/50 has been earning him good notices, and as well as shooting The Dark Knight Rises , he has courier-cyclist thriller Premium Rush in the can.
It's actually a release date shift of that film that could allow JGL to appear in Django , as he'll be free from promotional duties for early next year when Tarantino intends to shoot.
And that's before he starts filming Spielberg's long-gestating Lincoln .
It's not currently clear who he'll play in Django Unchained , but we don't care: just sign him up already! If he comes aboard, he'll join Inception co-star Leonardo DiCaprio, as well as Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Kurt Russell, Samuel L Jackson, Don Johnson and more.
