Josh Lucas fears a Tell-Tale
Adapted from Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart…
When studios get sick of updating beloved movies, you just know their grubby paws grab for the nearest chunk of classic literature. Let’s face it – a lot of the stories of yore are attractive, since they come with a built-in fan base and, most importantly, don’t have those pesky rights issues.
Ridley and Tony Scott’s Scott Free Productions has decided that Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart is the perfect tale to update for the thriller-loving kids of today. Josh Lucas is the man they’ve hired to star in Tell-Tale as a doting father fresh from undergoing a heart transplant who realises that his new organ does more than just keep him alive and ticking… It points him to the donor’s killer!
Michael Cuesta, who last directed L.I.E., will crank the cameras, though there’s no start date yet.
