Aquaman is one of the most contentious pieces of DC canon. He's been portrayed a variety of ways, from a clean-cut blond to a goatee-d beefcake with a hook for a hand. And while we've known what Justice League's version (played by Jason Momoa) would look like for awhile now, it's another thing altogether to see him rising from the waves:
Sorry, what were we talking about? Oh, right. The new stills are taken from an 8-minute mini-documentary about Momoa called "Canvas of My Life". You can watch the whole thing below (which I would suggest, since Momoa seems like a pretty cool guy), or skip to 0:36, 3:00, and 4:33 if you just want to see him as the King of Atlantis.
Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, J.K. Simmons, Willem Dafoe, Amber Heard, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher, Justice League is currently scheduled for a November 17, 2017 release.
