Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz break up

It’s the sort of news that makes everyone happy – well, except for Justin and Cameron, obviously – two of the world’s most attractive people are back on the market.

The couple released a joint statement late yesterday, published on Tmf.com, stating, “It has always been our preference not to comment on the status of our relationship, but, out of respect for the time we've spent together, we feel compelled to do so now, in light of recent speculation and the number of inaccurate stories that are being reported by the media.”

“We have, in fact, ended our romantic relationship and have done so mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another.”

However, ladies had better think fast, Justin’s fond of moving on quickly, and it looks like he’s already started - with Scarlett Johansson.

If the gossip mags are to be believed, and we see no reason to stop trusting them now, the pair were spotted ‘spending time together’ (the swine!) at an after-party for the long-delayed Alpha Dog.

The Lost In Translation star also appears in Timberlake’s ‘What Goes Around’ video, like a girlfriend might.

So far, Diaz hasn’t been linked with anyone. But if she’s looking for some high-profile names to take her mind off JT, we can think of several. Us for starters.
