Katee Sackhoff joins female Expendables
She’ll line up opposite Gina Carano
Producer Adi Shankar’s “female Expendables ” passion project has completed some more casting, with Battlestar Galactica ’s Katee Sackhoff the latest to join the all-girl ensemble.
Variety reports that Sackhoff has officially signed on to join former MMA star Gina Carano in the as-yet untitled actioner, although nothing has been confirmed regarding their respective characters.
Shankar is as excitable as ever regarding this latest development, with the producer wasting little time in giving Sackhoff his public endorsement.
“If you spend five minutes with Katee it becomes blatantly obvious that she would pwn most male action stars,” he gushed, sounding remarkably like a teenage boy talking on an online forum.
Plot details for the film remain non-existent at this stage, but hopefully we’ll have a director and some more cast members in place in due course. Linda Hamilton… this one surely has your name on it.
