Katniss strikes a pose in new poster for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Ready for action
We haven't heard much from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire for a little while, so it's nice to see Lionsgate keeping things ticking over with the release of a cool new poster for the upcoming sequel.
The new image shows Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, standing upon a rocky outcrop and looking suitably heroic as she stares into the middle-distance.
The positioning of those clouds behind her back make our heroine look positively celestial here, although that bow and arrow should serve as a reminder that she's no angel.
"The sun persists in rising, so I make myself stand," booms the new tagline. In case it wasn't already clear, Katniss's battle against the Capitol's oppressive powers-that-be is only just beginning…
Directed by Francis Lawrence and co-starring Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Philip Seymour Hoffman, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will open in the UK on 22 November 2013.
