Keanu Reeves discusses directing Man Of Tai Chi
“I want to make a good kung fu movie”
Just the other day Keanu Reeves was discussing the future of Bill & Ted , but evidently the actor isn’t just waiting around for a third entry in the comedy adventure series.
The Matrix star is also planning on making his directorial debut with a kung fu action film called Man Of Tai Chi.
Not only will he direct, but Reeves is considering taking on the role of the film’s villain.
“There’s 18 fights. We’ve timed it out. It’s about 40 minutes of fighting,” Reeves tells MTV .
“I want to make a good, solid kung fu movie. Good story, good plot - but let’s get some good kung fu going!”
The plot of the movie is currently under wraps, but MTV reveal that it’s set in present day with nods back to classic kung fu films.
It’ll also be a bilingual project. “We want to do it in Chinese and English,” Reeves says, “do it as kind of a co-production with CFG perhaps, which is a Chinese film group, kind of a studio. It’s tricky.”
