Kingsman: The Golden Circle photos focus on cowboy Channing Tatum, an angry Jeff Bridges, and more

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is looking to top the original movie in some major ways, but none is more obvious than its impressive ensemble cast. Entertainment Weekly has some photos of the new cast, and joining the suave young super spy Taron Egerton is Channing Tatum, seen here in full-on cowboy mode, an angry Jeff Bridges (or is he just confused?) and the delightful Halle Berry.

Little is known about the film’s plot, but the new characters all play members of the Statesmen, the United States’ equivalent to the UK’s operatives. Director Matthew Vaughn is back behind the camera for the sequel, and another way he’s looking to top himself is with the James Bond-level gadgets. The first movie had a bulletproof umbrella, shoes with poison blades in them, and a hand grenade disguised as a cigarette lighter; the new movie will have a mechanical attack dog and “an electric cowboy-style lasso that slices through bad guys.” Talk about an upgrade...

Directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Halle Berry, Mark Strong, Pedro Pascal, and Elton John (yes, really), Kingsman: The Golden Circle hits theaters on September 29, 2017.
