"Kojima bear my Ludens": Twitter reacts to Death Stranding

Hideo Kojima's mysterious new project – which would be less of a surprise if you'd followed our coverage so far – was revealed to be Death Stranding at Sony's E3 2016 press conference, starring The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus as… er, a naked man cuddling a baby… in a sea of skeletons… covered in oil, and, well… it's complicated. Check out the first teaser trailer below, plus how the world has reacted to Kojima's triumphant return to game development. Clue: About as sensibly as the amazing, absurdly cryptic, trailer deserves.

This image pretty much sets the tone:

A number of people felt moved to invite Hideo Kojima for physical communion, but this is just about the only reaction we can share.

The following tweet was equally expressive, though may have come as something of a surprise to Hideo Kojima if he wasn't already aware:

Others made a more speculative plea to join Hideo Kojima for Christmas lunch:

Another fan was keen to address the question we all shared:

In short, most people who didn't want to share physical communion with Hideo Kojima, or join his family, or both, were pretty happy.

Expect saner, more detailed, analysis of Death Stranding on GamesRadar+ over the coming days, which at least gives us time to practice our proposal speech, or forge some adoption papers.
