LA Noire launch trailer teases us one last time
Scandal, corruption and murder tinge final preview video before next week's release
In case you’ve forgotten, 1940s detective thriller LA Noire finally arrives in stores in less than a week – and just to make sure we all remember, Rockstar’s rolled out a new trailer ahead of the May 17 launch. Offering up a cross-section of sweepingly dramatic dialogue and impeccably dressed hard-boiled cop action, it’s a short but slick reminder of what’s waiting for us next Tuesday.
If you’ve been watching LA Noire’sother videosup to this point – which have includedin-depth explanations of the gameplay and story progression as well as rapid-cut trailerslike the above– the theatrical outbursts, rapid-cut action shots and close-ups of eerily realistic faces aren’t too different from what you’ve already seen. The dialogue’s new, though, and if you listen carefully, you’ll get a few not-so-cryptic hints about LA Noire’s overarching, corruption-soaked plot.
If nothing else, this is a game we’ve been waiting for for nearly five years, andit’s nice to get one last glimpse to tide us over before we can finally delve in.
