Lara Croft GO for iOS and Android is getting a Thanksgiving Day update. But before you roll your eyes at the idea of Lara exploring turkish ruins while wearing Puritan pilgrim garb (though that would be pretty funny and ironic, come to think of it), know that this update is actually a whole new adventure, and it's free.
The Shard of Life expansion features 26 new puzzles that take place in a new area, two new outfits, plenty of beasts to slay, and a hoard of collectibles. In other words, it's much more than the usual aesthetic treatment that mobile games get. And if you don't yet own Lara Croft GO, Square Enix has reduced the price to $2.99 for a limited time.
Curiously, though the game is also available via the Windows Marketplace, the press release announcing the expansion only lists the update as coming to iOS and Android.
This holiday, let us give thanks - thanks that there's a multi-million dollar heiress who goes on globe-trotting adventures where she shoots wildlife, smashes pots, and generally raids booby-trapped tombs so that we don't have to.
